An e-invoice is a tax invoice created and shared in a structured digital format, now required for many businesses in the Gulf.
An e-invoice replaces a paper or PDF bill with a standardized digital record that tax authorities can validate. In Saudi Arabia the ZATCA rules and in the UAE the VAT e-invoicing program are rolling this out in phases, so merchants need to plan for it.
